Faith is believed to multiply manifold at a unique Shiva temple in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district, where devotees worship not one, but 1,116 Shiva Lingas under a single roof.

Located in Jammulapalem village, the temple is revered by Shiva worshippers who believe that a single chant of Lord Shiva’s name here equals offering prayers to all 1,116 Lingas. Each Linga is installed in the five-faced Pancha-Mukheswara form, symbolising different aspects of Lord Shiva.

The temple has steadily emerged as a major spiritual centre, attracting devotees from across districts who gather here for prayers, rituals and spiritual reflection. For the local community, the shrine is more than a place of worship — it stands as an important cultural and spiritual landmark.

Shiva worship has been a timeless tradition in Andhra Pradesh, and temples dedicated to the deity continue to draw large numbers of devotees throughout the year.

With Maha Shivaratri approaching, the temple is expected to witness a surge in footfall as devotees and spiritual seekers throng the site to offer special prayers.
