Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan recently opened up about his struggles with personal indiscipline during a candid conversation with veteran actor Nana Patekar. The revelation came as part of an interview where Khan shared insights into his past lifestyle and approach to life.
When asked by Patekar whether he used to arrive on time for film shoots, Aamir admitted, “I was not a disciplined person. Though I always showed up punctually for shoots and maintained discipline in my work, my personal life was a different story. I used to smoke heavily and drink excessively. There were times when I would drink throughout the night. However, I’ve now given up alcohol.”
Aamir described himself as someone with an intense personality. “I approach things with extreme focus. Whatever I do, I immerse myself in it entirely. But this is not always a good trait. I recognize it as a flaw. Even when I know something is wrong, I find it hard to stop myself,” he confessed.
Patekar urged Khan to stay active in acting and not step away from films. In response, Aamir shared his evolving perspective on his career. “I had initially decided to do one film a year, but now I’m considering doing one film every three years,” he said.
Aamir Khan’s most recent film appearance was in Laal Singh Chaddha, which was released in 2022. Currently, he is working on Sitaare Zameen Par, a sequel to his acclaimed 2007 film Taare Zameen Par. Additionally, Aamir is producing Lahore 1947, a film starring Sunny Deol.
Khan’s reflections highlight his journey of self-awareness and personal growth, as he continues to balance his personal and professional commitments.
