Actor Tosh Christy reminisced about his first film stunt, performed with Mammootty in the 2005 film ‘Thaskaraveeran’

Actor Tosh Christy recently shared a memorable moment from his film career, recalling his very first stunt in the 2005 film ‘Thaskaraveeran,’ where he had the rare opportunity to perform a fight scene directly opposite megastar Mammootty.
The actor made his cinema debut with a small role in the 1999 film ‘Niram’, but it was in ‘Thaskaraveeran’ (2005) that he performed his first stunt.
"Although I first stood in front of a movie camera in the 1999 film Niram, the first time I performed a stunt in a film was in Thaskaraveeran, released in 2005," Tosh wrote in Facebook.
"With the desire to do a stunt, I ended up right in front of the megastar himself. The opportunity was created by the dear Mafia Sasi master. So, for my first stunt scene, I was face-to-face with the dear Mammookka. It was probably the master's confidence in me that helped to compose a good portion with Mammookka."
Describing the moment he actually had to perform the stunt, Tosh said, “At the end of it, I had to jump and swing my leg over Mammootty’s head. It was something I could normally do. However, when I stood in front of Mammootty, my hands and legs felt a bit shaky, worried I might accidentally hit him on the head or elsewhere.”
While Mammootty handled most of the action himself, a stunt double was initially arranged for the part where Tosh had to swing his leg over the superstar's head.
But Tosh recalled an unexpected twist, "It must have been because he saw me practising with the double that during the take, Mammookka himself replaced the double and stood in front of me. That was a great recognition I received."
"We both took our positions, and the fight began. I jumped, spun, and kicked. My leg flew through the air over Mammootty’s head. I still have many fond memories of this scene."
