Telugu superstar Prabhas has donated Rs 2 crore to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund to aid in the reconstruction of Wayanad’s Chooralmala and Mundakkai regions, which were severely affected by the recent landslides.

Prabhas also said that the devastation in Wayanad represents one of Kerala's worst tragedies and emphasised the importance of supporting the state during this difficult time. He had previously contributed financially to Kerala during the floods. His generous donation has been met with widespread praise on social media as well.

On Sunday, megastar Chiranjeevi and his actor-son Ram Charan (of 'RRR' fame) had also announced a contribution of Rs 1 crore to support the victims of the landslides.

Earlier, Telugu superstar Allu Arjun donated Rs 25 lakhs to the Chief Minister's Disaster Relief Fund. Actors like Mammootty, Mohanlal, Dulquer Salmaan, Tovino, Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya, Pearle Maaney and Sreenish had also donated to the relief fund. Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan donated Rs 35 lakh to the relief fund. 

Karthi, Suriya and Jyothika had donated Rs 50 lakh to the CMDRF. Actors Kamal Haasan and Vikram paid Rs 20 lakh and Rashmika Mandana Rs 10 lakh. Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya contributed Rs 25 lakhs.

Actor Nayanthara and her husband, director Vignesh Shivan, also made a notable contribution of Rs 20 lakh to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Malayalam actors Manju Warrier and Navya Nair have also chipped in with significant contributions.
