Malayalam celebrities Pearle Maaney and Srinish Aravind have donated ₹5 lakhs to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund to aid those affected by the landslides in Wayanad.

In an Instagram post, Pearle Maaney shared her thoughts on the tragedy, stating, "In the face of tragedy, every act of kindness shines bright. The past few days have been extremely difficult, and we have witnessed the tireless efforts of volunteers, rescue teams, the army, fire force, healthcare workers, the government, and our community."

We are contributing to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund because every penny counts, no matter how small. Let’s stand together for Wayanad and help rebuild lives."

Many celebrated artists have come in support, particularly by contributing to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund. Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan have donated a total of Rs 35 lakh to the relief fund, while Suriya, Jyothika and Karthik have contributed Rs 50 lakh. Actors Kamal Haasan and Vikram have donated 20 lakhs, Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya donated Rs 25 lakhs and Rashmika Mandana donated Rs 10 lakhs.
