Some unofficial streaming platforms have also been found hosting the pirated version of the film. This has come as a major shock to the producers and the film's cast, who are now taking steps to tackle the issue.
Studio Green issues warning against pirates
Studio Green, the production company behind Kanguva, has condemned the piracy of their film and issued a stern warning against those involved in leaking the movie. The producers have promised that strict legal action will be taken against those responsible for the leak. An anti-piracy team has been activated, and the producers are determined to track down those spreading the illegal copy.
A big-scale production with star cast
Produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green banner, and Vamsi and Pramod under UV Creations, Kanguva is a historical drama set 1,500 years ago. The film stars Suriya in the lead role, with Bollywood actor Bobby Deol playing the antagonist. Actress Disha Patani plays the female lead, while a strong supporting cast including Yogi Babu, Prakash Raj, KS Ravikumar, Jagapathi Babu, and others feature in important roles.
The film, directed by Siva, has been written by Madhan Karky, Adi Narayana, and Siva himself. It was released in a record 38 languages worldwide, making it a major global release.
