Moviegoers watching ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ in India this week may be in for a surprise. Reports suggest the much-awaited ‘Ramayana’ trailer will be attached to the Marvel film's theatrical prints, allowing audiences to watch it on the big screen.

The strategy aligns with Spider-Man: Brand New Day's theatrical debut on Thursday, giving ‘Ramayana’ access to one of the biggest cinema audiences of the year. The trailer has already been previewed for select members of the media and fans.

Adding to the anticipation, producer Namit Malhotra has confirmed that the trailer will launch worldwide on July 30 at 4:15 AM IST, describing the timing as an "auspicious Brahma Muhurat." The release was originally planned for July 24 but was postponed after the makers announced a global partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment.

The reported theatrical attachment is a natural fit, as Sony is not only the studio behind the ‘Spider-Man’ franchise but also the international distributor of ‘Ramayana’.

In India, the film will be distributed by Dharma Productions, making the collaboration a strategic way to introduce the epic to a wider audience.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. With a reported budget of over Rs 4,000 crore for its two-part saga, it is among the most ambitious films ever produced in India.

Meanwhile, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is set to swing into Indian cinemas on July 30. Starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, the latest Marvel marks a new chapter for the web-slinger following the events of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. With strong advance bookings and a huge fan following in India, the film is expected to open big at the box office.
