Chennai: Tamil star Ajith Kumar is all set to hit the racetrack today at the highly anticipated 24H Dubai 2025 racing competition, and his fellow actor Sivakarthikeyan couldn’t hold back his admiration. Sharing his excitement on X, Sivakarthikeyan praised Ajith’s dedication and sent him heartfelt wishes.

Sivakarthikeyan expressed his support with a touching message, "Wishing the best, dear #AjithKumar Sir, for the 24H Series in Dubai! Your unwavering passion and dedication continue to inspire us all. May you achieve immense success in this as well, Sir."

Ajith’s team gears up

Ajith’s racing team is ready for action, having qualified in the seventh pole position with a combined lap time of 2:03.476. It’s clear that the team, participating in the Porsche 992 class, is bringing its A-game to the track.

Speaking to a television channel on Thursday, Ajith Kumar revealed that he’s putting films on hold to focus entirely on racing.

"I won’t be signing any new films until the racing season is on. I’ll be doing a film between October and March, before the racing season commences," he said.

When asked about his fascination with the 24H Dubai, Ajith shared, "If you look at all the formats I have been racing, they have been sprint races. This is different. It’s not about just you—it’s about the car, the equipment, and saving it for your co-drivers. It’s a team sport."

Bouncing back after a crash

Ajith’s determination is undeniable. Despite a car crash during a practice session earlier this week that left his vehicle badly damaged, the actor has been preparing relentlessly for the big day.

Ajith isn’t just racing; he’s leading his team, Ajith Kumar Racing, in its debut at the prestigious event. Competing in the Porsche 992 class, Ajith’s teammates include Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffieux, and Cameron McLeod.

Interestingly, Fabian Duffieux stepped up as the team manager in December last year, adding more depth to the team’s capabilities. The team has partnered with Bas Koeten Racing, a renowned technical and logistical expert in motorsports, to ensure they are race-ready.
