Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, one of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s six children, has officially removed 'Pitt' from her name. A Los Angeles court approved her request on Monday to change her name to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie.

Shiloh, who turned 18 on May 27, initially filed the petition to make this change. Although reports suggest that other Jolie-Pitt children have informally dropped "Pitt" from their names, Shiloh is the first to legally formalise it. For instance, their daughter Vivienne was listed as "Vivienne Jolie" in a Broadway program for "The Outsiders."

In addition to Shiloh and Vivienne, Jolie and Pitt have four other children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Knox.

Angelina Jolie, known for her role in "Maleficent," had previously removed her father Jon Voight’s surname from her own name in 2002 due to a strained relationship.

Jolie and Pitt, who were together for ten years before marrying in 2014, separated in 2016. Their divorce was finalised in 2019, but issues related to custody and finances remain unresolved. The couple has also been involved in legal disputes over their joint business interests, including a French winery.

In 2022, Jolie accused Pitt of assaulting her and their children during a 2016 flight, though Pitt has denied these claims.
