Shakira's highly anticipated India tour has been postponed due to geopolitical concerns. Get the latest updates on refund processes and new concert dates here.

Global pop sensation Shakira has officially postponed her highly anticipated return to India, originally scheduled for April 2026. The announcement has left thousands of fans heartbroken, especially as the tour would have marked her first major performance in the country in nearly 19 years.
The news was confirmed by District (by Zomato), the official organisers of the Feeding India Concert, citing the current volatile geopolitical situation and regional tensions as the primary reason for the delay.
Why was the Shakira Feeding India concert postponed?
According to the official statement released on Instagram, the decision was made to ensure the safety of the artist, the production crew, and the fans.
“Due to the prevailing geopolitical situation and regional tensions, the Feeding India Concert featuring Shakira has been postponed until further notice. The well-being of our fans, the artist, and the production team remains our foremost priority,” the note from District read.
While the organisers haven’t specified a new date yet, they emphasised that they are working closely with Shakira’s team to reschedule. This delay follows a similar pattern in the Indian live music circuit; recently, Kanye West’s New Delhi concert (originally set for March 29) was also pushed to May 23, 2026, due to the ongoing US-Iran conflict and related airspace uncertainties.
Will fans get a refund for tickets and travel bookings?
District has assured all ticket holders that a full refund will be automatically processed to their original mode of payment within 5–7 business days. However, the announcement has triggered a wave of frustration among fans who had already invested in non-refundable travel.
Fans are taking to social media to ask, "Who’s going to pay my flight bills?" and demanding compensation for hotel bookings made specifically for the Mumbai and Delhi shows.
Currently, the District has only committed to ticket refunds. For specific queries, they have directed fans to write to events@district.in.
The Feeding India Concert was set to be a massive philanthropic event, with shows planned for April 10 and 11 at Mumbai's Mahalaxmi Racecourse and April 15 at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Shakira, known for her chart-busters like Hips Don't Lie and Waka Waka, last performed in India in 2007.
