Actress Sai Pallavi has opened up about her experiences with stage fright and anxiety.

In a recent interview on the Pearle Maaney Show, Sai Pallavi shared that she often feels more anxious when people are watching her.

“When I see a lot of people, I actually get scared. I am not very okay when there is a crowd at the set during shooting. I get very overwhelmed. Not emotional, but I feel very anxious.Even when I get compliments, I count one, two, three, in my mind, “she said.

Sai Pallavi also mentioned that even a decade after the release of her hit film Premam, fans still affectionately refer to her as Malar, the character she portrayed in the movie. She mentioned that when she visits Kerala, people still call her 'Malar' as the audience's affection for her remains unchanged. Sai Pallavi also mentioned that her favourite song from all the movies she has worked on is 'Malare.

“The first time I heard the song, Alphonse, Amma and I were in the car. I was thinking...The song is so nice. I hope it’s for my character. And when the line “Malare,” came I was like ‘woah! This is for me!’ I liked the song even before it was for me. Even if it wasn’t mine I would have been this much in love with the song.” She also mentioned that Premam was “a new journey” for her.

Sai Pallavi also had thoughts to share about her journey through the film industry. “I know this is not constant. Why would you take something that isn’t constant? Everybody has a phase and time.  I am just happy that I have this opportunity to do good movies and characters. When I am here, I am taking it and enjoying it. I know there will be a time for all of us to give room for more talents that are coming up.”

Sai Pallavi acknowledged that she is currently working on a project in Bollywood, an adaptation of the Ramayana epic, with Ranbir Kapoor, where she plays the role of Sita.
