Tamil actor Jayam Ravi recently surprised fans by announcing his separation from Aarti, sparking various rumours and controversies about his divorce. Aarti publicly stated that the announcement was made without her knowledge. In response to these speculations, Jayam Ravi has spoken out.

During an interview with the Galatta Plus YouTube channel to promote his upcoming film Brother, Jayam Ravi discussed the controversies surrounding him. He stated that he does not let such rumours affect him and focuses solely on his work.

"We're in the public eye, and whatever I do gets hyped —even something as simple as making tea. It's mass media. We're all stars, and everything, whether good or bad, gets highlighted. We can't pretend we don't notice it. People enjoy watching movies and talking about stars, so I won't judge them for that," Jayam Ravi said.

He criticised those who spread gossip, suggesting that they lack emotional maturity. He said that to work well, both the body and mind must be clear. He expressed that he cannot teach everyone the importance of being responsible, noting that mature individuals do not engage in spreading rumours. He questioned why one should consider the opinions of others when they understand themselves.

Earlier, Jayam Ravi addressed claims of Aarti's excessive control in their relationship. He shared details about the reasons for their split during an interview with a Tamil YouTuber.

After announcing his divorce, Jayam Ravi removed photos of Aarti and their children from social media and filed a complaint at Adyar Police Station, claiming she has barred him from their home and is seeking help to recover his belongings.
