The actor said the latest controversy arose from a private conversation that was recorded almost eight years ago

Mumbai: Actress Rashmika Mandanna has issued a warning to individuals, influencers and media platforms circulating what she described as a leaked private conversation from nearly eight years ago.
In a post on X, Mandanna alleged that she has long been subjected to misinformation, online harassment, and targeted attacks, with her statements repeatedly taken out of context to create misleading narratives.
The actor said the latest controversy arose from a private conversation that was recorded almost eight years ago and shared without the knowledge or consent of those involved. She claimed that only a small portion of the conversation was made public and presented in a way that distorted its original context.
Mandanna added that she had remained silent over the years despite the personal distress caused, but chose to speak out after the issue began affecting her family and close associates. Describing the circulation of the clip as an invasion of privacy and defamatory, she urged those sharing it to remove the material within 24 hours.
She warned that failing compliance would result in legal action, including notices to individuals, digital platforms, and media organisations responsible for spreading the clip.
Mandanna also thanked her fans for their continued support and emphasised that decisions regarding her personal life should remain hers alone.
