Aroopi
Aroopi is a supernatural thriller that begins with the spirit of Padmini being imprisoned inside a doll at the Aryanattu family estate generations ago. After two thieves inadvertently release her, the story shifts to the present as Niranjan, the estate's last heir, returns home after a violent killing. His struggle with schizophrenia adds a psychological dimension to the haunting, leaving viewers to question whether the disturbing events are supernatural or rooted in his mind. Aroopi will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on August 14.
My Best Friend, His Girlfriend and Me

However, Rebecca proves to be far more prepared for the battle than they expect. My Best Friend, His Girlfriend and Me will be available on Netflix from August 14.

The drama stars Nqobile Nunu Khumalo and Tony Kgoroge. Umthetho will stream on Netflix from August 14.
Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata
Starring Kangana Ranaut, Girija Oak and Smita Tambe, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata draws from the real-life experiences of nurses at Mumbai's Cama & Albless Hospital during the 26/11 terror attacks. The film focuses on the courage of the medical staff who stood by their patients amid the chaos and danger of the attacks. Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata will premiere on ZEE5 on August 14.
Aakhri Sawal
Aakhri Sawal, led by Sanjay Dutt and Namashi Chakraborty, is a political drama built around a growing ideological conflict between a professor and his research scholar. What begins as a disagreement over an academic thesis escalates into a public confrontation broadcast across the country, bringing hidden agendas and difficult truths to the surface. Aakhri Sawal will stream on Lionsgate Play from August 14.
Bigg Boss Malayalam 8: Agnipareeksha
Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 - Agnipareeksha introduces a pre-show format that gives members of the public an opportunity to compete for a place in the main Bigg Boss Malayalam house. Hosted as part of the larger season built around Mohanlal, the programme is associated with former contestants and personalities including Ranjini Haridas, Reneesha Rahiman, Riyas Salim and Akhil Marar. The format reflects a wider trend across the regional Bigg Boss franchises, with similar contestant-selection shows linked to the Telugu and Tamil editions. Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 - Agnipareeksha will premiere on JioHotstar on August 15.
Take a Hike!
Netflix is taking four celebrities far outside their comfort zone with Take a Hike!, a Korean adventure reality series produced in collaboration with renowned producer Na Yung-suk. The show follows a group with little enthusiasm for mountaineering as they tackle snow-covered mountains, steep trails, freezing weather and unfamiliar terrain across South Korea. Along the way, their struggles and interactions explore why people choose to hike, while also capturing unexpected friendships and the country's winter scenery. Take a Hike! will premiere on Netflix on August 18.
Jana Nayagan
Vijay's Jana Nayagan follows an ordinary man whose life changes after his family faces an injustice, eventually pushing him towards becoming a leader of the people. His journey brings him into conflict with an antagonist played by Bobby Deol. The film also features Pooja Hegde, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju and Narain, with music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film has been widely positioned as Vijay's final acting project before his full-time political career. Jana Nayagan will begin streaming on ZEE5 on August 21, with Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada versions reportedly available and a Hindi-dubbed edition expected later.
Pyaar Prema Kalyanam
Directed by and starring Elan, Pyaar Prema Kalyanam puts a different spin on the traditional idea of marriage and relocation. Saanvee Meghana plays Pavi, an influencer who remains attached to her family home, prompting her husband to move into her household instead. His arrival leads to awkward encounters, clashes and comic situations as both families adjust to an arrangement that challenges conventional expectations. Pyaar Prema Kalyanam will premiere on Netflix on August 21.
