Messi was accompanied by his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, and their three sons, as they enjoyed the performance from a VIP box

Football legend Lionel Messi made a surprise appearance at Coldplay's Miami show last weekend, held at Hard Rock Stadium. The event, already under public scrutiny following the now-infamous ‘kiss cam’ controversy, saw Messi’s presence spark a wave of excitement among fans.
Messi was accompanied by his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, and their three sons — Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro — as they enjoyed the performance from a VIP box. Roccuzzo later shared a series of photos on Instagram showing the family at the venue, simply captioned “Coldplay”.

While fans were thrilled just to see Messi, it was the couple’s appearance on the kiss cam that truly lit up the night. The crowd erupted in cheers and chants of “Messi! Messi!” as the big screen cut to the footballer and his wife, offering a warm, wholesome moment that contrasted sharply with the recent controversy.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin also acknowledged Messi from the stage, pausing the set to welcome the football star. “Oh Leo, my beautiful brother. You and your wife are looking so fine, thank you for coming to see our band play,” said Martin, who went on to call Messi the “No. 1 sportsperson of all time,” as reported by ESPN.
Reactions online were swift and often laced with humour, as many took jabs at the earlier kiss cam incident involving former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and ex-HR executive Kristin Cabot. “At least someone went with their own wife. Good,” one user remarked. Another added, “Family first, unlike those ones.”
Earlier this month, Byron and Cabot were caught sharing an intimate moment on the kiss cam at a different Coldplay concert. As both were married to other people at the time, the footage drew widespread backlash. Accordding to media reports, both individuals had since resigned from the company.
