Kochi: The legendary Malayalam film Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha is set to return to theaters on February 7, with a stunning upgrade in 4K digital resolution and Dolby Atmos sound. The iconic scenes featuring Mammootty as Chandu Chekavar, riding horse, sword-fighting, and delivering memorable dialogues, will now be experienced in crystal-clear visuals and immersive sound, offering a fresh perspective for both new viewers and long-time fans.

The re-release of Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha is made possible by SCube Films, who are using cutting-edge technologies to bring the timeless classic back to the big screen. The film, originally produced by PV Gangadharan, features the collaboration of renowned director Hariharan, literary icon MT Vasudevan Nair, and the legendary actor Mammootty.

PV Gangadharan’s family, including his wife Sherien and children, along with the founders of SCube Films – Shenuga, Shegna, and Sherga – are committed to honouring Gangadharan’s vision. 

A tribute to MT Vasudevan Nair’s vision

This re-release also serves as a tribute to MT Vasudevan Nair, who crafted the unique visual language of Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha. His storytelling and artistic vision played a crucial role in shaping the film's place in Malayalam cinema.
