Just before the release of Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse, Mammootty shared a new post on Instagram that quickly went viral. The post has garnered around 3,71,000 likes, with many fans commenting on the actor’s youthful appearance. Some viewers even questioned, “Who does he think he is? Mammootty?” or playfully asked, “Should we even post photos now?” Others joked, “Not at all feeling jealous” and “What a face!” and even, “Mammootty should stop doing things that destroy us youth.”

Film release, positive reception

Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse was released globally on Thursday, directed by renowned Tamil director Gautham Vasudev Menon. This marks GVM’s debut direction in Malayalam cinema. The film is being produced by Mammootty under the Mammootty Kampany banner, making it his sixth production. The movie is already drawing attention for its blend of comedy and thriller elements.

Mammootty leads the cast alongside Gokul Suresh, with other notable performances from Lena, Siddique, Viji Venkatesh, Vijay Babu, Vineeth, Sushmitha Bhatt, Shine Tom Chacko, and Wafa Khatheeja.

Written by Dr Suraj Rajan and Dr Neeraj Rajan, the film promises an exciting mix of suspense and humour, with Mammootty and Gokul Suresh playing detectives at the centre of the plot.
