Telugu actor Kiran Abbavaram recently shared his experience of watching the Malayalam film Marco, directed by Haneef Adeni and starring Unni Mukundan. In an interview to Galatta Telugu, he revealed that his pregnant wife felt uncomfortable watching the movie due to the film’s extensive violence, leading them to leave the theatre halfway.

"My wife couldn’t sit watching Marco because of its excessive violence. I watched the film but couldn’t finish it. I felt overwhelming, so we left before it was finished. Since my wife is pregnant, she found it difficult to digest the film," Kiran said.

He also spoke about the impact films have on audiences, stating that what people watch can stay with them for at least three days. Citing Marco and Pushpa 2 as examples, he noted that different people perceive films differently—some see them purely as entertainment, while others take away deeper messages. He recalled that he too had been influenced by cinema during his late teens and early twenties.

Kiran Abbavaram is familiar to Malayalam audiences through the film Ka. He is currently working on his upcoming project Dilruba, directed by Vishwa Karun.
