Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi`s ‘Jolly LLB 3’ crosses ₹90 Cr domestically in 10 days, showing resilience despite competition and festive season.

The Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi starrer ‘Jolly LLB 3’ has successfully completed ten days at the box office, showing resilience even in the face of stiff competition from Pawan Kalyan’s Telugu action-drama ‘They Call Him OG’. The comedy-courtroom sequel, which released on September 19, has crossed the ₹90 crore mark domestically and continues to attract audiences with its humour and dramatic clashes inside the courtroom.
Strong start and steady growth
According to Sacnilk, the film opened with a respectable ₹12.5 crore on its first Friday. Collections jumped to ₹20 crore on Saturday and ₹21 crore on Sunday, helping the film end its opening weekend on a high note. Despite the expected drop on Monday (₹5.5 crore), the movie managed to bounce back on Tuesday, earning ₹6.5 crore due to reduced ticket prices. By Thursday, the film had amassed ₹74 crore in its first week.
On its second Friday, ‘Jolly LLB 3’ earned ₹3.75 crore before climbing to ₹6.5 crore on Saturday and ₹6.25 crore on Sunday, according to early estimates. With this, the ten-day India net total now stands at ₹90.50 crore.
Global box office and competition
Globally, the film has already raked in around ₹127 crore, with updated worldwide figures for day ten still awaited. Its strong performance is particularly notable as it is competing with ‘They Call Him OG’, which is dominating in the south with weekend earnings of ₹18 crore each on Saturday and Sunday.
The ongoing Navratri season, with garba nights reducing cinema footfalls, was expected to dent the film’s performance. However, ‘Jolly LLB 3’ has managed to hold steady, showing consistent audience interest even during festive distractions.
Comparison with other Bollywood films
The Akshay–Arshad courtroom drama has already surpassed the lifetime collections of several recent Bollywood hits in just ten days. Its ₹90.50 crore tally is higher than Sunny Deol’s ‘Jaat’ (₹88.72 crore), ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ (₹84.56 crore), Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gabbar Is Back’ (₹87.54 crore), Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ (₹85.16 crore), and Vicky Kaushal–Sara Ali Khan’s ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ (₹88.35 crore).
Franchise advantage and audience response
The ‘Jolly LLB’ franchise has enjoyed popularity since Arshad Warsi headlined the first film in 2013. The second instalment in 2017 saw Akshay Kumar take over as another lawyer named Jolly, with both films leaving a lasting impact on audiences. While ‘Jolly LLB 3’ has benefited from the franchise brand, trade analysts note that its content hasn’t quite reached the level of ‘Jolly LLB 2’. Box Office India suggested that the final tally may be comparable to the 2017 sequel, largely due to higher ticket prices rather than audience footfall.
Still, the film remains a crowd-pleaser thanks to the chemistry between Kumar and Warsi, backed by performances from Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Gajraj Rao, Annu Kapoor, and Seema Biswas.
With its domestic total inching closer to the ₹100 crore milestone, Jolly LLB 3 looks set to join Bollywood’s big earners of 2025.
