If you’ve ever imagined dancing to BTS or SEVENTEEN live in India, that dream might be closer than you think. K-pop fans across the country have plenty to cheer about, HYBE Corporation, the South Korean powerhouse behind global sensations like BTS, SEVENTEEN, and TXT, is all set to make its mark in India.

HYBE confirms Indian expansion

After months of speculation, HYBE has finally confirmed that it’s planning to open a local branch in India by September or October 2025. The news broke through Korean media on 30 June, and ever since, Indian K-pop fans have been buzzing with excitement.

In a statement, HYBE said, “We are currently conducting local market research and handling the practicalities of setting up the corporation, with the goal of launching around September or October.”

Big plans, bigger markets

This move is part of HYBE’s long-term vision to take K-pop global. Under the leadership of Bang Si Hyuk, the company is pushing forward with its Multi-home, Multi-genre strategy to tap into major music markets around the world. And India, with its population of over 1.4 billion and growing appetite for Korean content, is a massive opportunity.

HYBE is aiming to blend K-pop’s successful business model with local music and culture, and if the results from other regions are anything to go by, things are looking promising. In the US, their new girl group KATSEYE recently landed on the Billboard Hot 100 just months after debuting. Meanwhile in Latin America, their local audition shows and training programmes have already taken off.

Indian fans, this could be your moment

For Indian ARMYs (BTS fans) and CARATs (SEVENTEEN fans), this is massive news. With a local HYBE branch coming soon, the chances of live concerts, fan meets, and maybe even Indian auditions are starting to look very real.

While there’s no official word on tour dates yet, the groundwork is being laid — and it’s making fans hopeful that their favourite K-pop idols could finally be hitting Indian stages.

Indian talent in the spotlight?

This expansion might not just mean more K-pop in India it could also mean more Indian faces in K-pop. HYBE is well-known for scouting and training talent from across the globe, and this new move could open doors for Indian artists to step into the global spotlight.

With HYBE's history of turning trainees into world-famous stars, the Indian K-pop chapter could be just beginning and it’s going to be one to watch.
