What's creating a buzz right now is Vishnu’s recent admission at a media event.

As Kannappa continues to gain footfall in theatres across regions, Vishnu Manchu, who played the lead role, is a happy man and has caught the attention of cine fans with his outlandish praises for the movie’s stellar cast, which boasts some big names including Mohanlal, Prabhas, Kajal Aggarwal, and Akshay Kumar. The actor has been extensively expressing his gratitude to these stars for joining hands in his dream project.
What has particularly caught the attention of fans is Vishnu’s recent admission at a Telugu media event a couple of days ago. Post the release of Kannappa, Vishnu was asked whether the unprecedented openings for his movie—something like never before—were likely due to Prabhas’ presence in the film. Vishnu was quick to admit that it could very well be the reason.
Speaking to the media, he said, “Well, of course, the massive opening for Kannappa... of course that is due to the presence of my ‘brother’ Prabhas. I will never deny it,” signaling his love and affection for his senior colleague.
The revelation is a testament to the great camaraderie between the duo, which could possibly lead to further cinematic collaborations in the future.
Meanwhile, Prabhas was last seen in Nag Ashwin’s magnum opus Kalki 2898 AD, alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone.
Despite its ensemble cast, Kannappa mostly opened to mixed reviews across regions. Even after a strong head start at the box office, the film will need to sustain a steady run over a longer period of time to be declared a profitable venture. Box office trackers are closely monitoring the performance of the pan-Indian devotional drama.
