India’s leading OTT platform, Disney+ Hotstar, has suffered a major service outage, preventing thousands of users from accessing their accounts or streaming content. Many users have also reported glitches with the language settings.

The disruption frustrated cricket fans trying to watch the India vs. England 3rd ODI live, according to outage tracker Downdetector.

Reports indicate that 84% of users faced video streaming issues, 13% had trouble connecting to the server, and 3% experienced app-related problems. The outage, which began around noon, has primarily impacted web and smart TV users across major cities.

A frustrated user shared a screenshot and wrote, "Hotstar server is down. This error msg is being shown. I request Hotstar's Technical Team to please look into this matter asap."

Another user complained, "Hey, the audio glitch is unbearable! I can't listen in Hindi at all. At the very least, make English the default so we have a temporary fix. Fix this ASAP!"

Similarly, a third user reported, "What's wrong with the hotstar app.. unable to change the quality resolution and language..seems both buttons are frozen."
