Actor Dharmajan Bolgatty marked his wedding anniversary with his wife Anooja by holding a re-wedding ceremony at a temple in Kochi.ย 

The private event, held on Monday morning, was attended by their children Vaiga and Vedha, along with a select group of close friends.

Dharmajan and Anooja have been married for the past 16 years. However, Dharmajan explained that because they eloped and got married at a temple in his hometown, they didn't pay much attention to registering the marriage at the time. They have now rectified this mistake by officially registering their marriage.

Expressing mixed emotions about the absence of key family members like his parents and Anooja's father, Dharmajan acknowledged that the low-key affair was deliberate, involving only those who could serve as official witnesses. Despite some friendly inquiries and comments, he emphasized that the ceremony was not intended for public spectacle but rather for personal reasons and legal formalities.

"Her family had kept their distance from us for almost a year. Things changed after we had children, bringing friendship and happiness. However, it's disappointing that key individuals, including my parents and her father, didn't attend this marriage. The event was intentionally kept quiet, with only those needed as witnesses were invited to the event," he said.ย 

Earlier in the morning, Dharmajan humorously shared the news of his marriage ceremony on Facebook. He posted a photo of himself with his wife and captioned it: "My wife is getting married again. The groom is...me only. The 'muhurtham' is between 9:30 and 10:30, and we need your blessings."
