This week’s box office saw the debut of two highly anticipated films: 'The Greatest of All Time' and 'The Crow'. Let’s explore their opening weekend results and see how they stack up against the current box office leaders.

According to Sacnilk, 'The Greatest of All Time', directed by Venkat Prabhu and released on September 5, has met high expectations as a gripping thriller. The film earned Rs 44 crore on its first day, with its India net collection over the weekend reaching Rs 137 crore and a global total of Rs 281 crore. Specifically, the net box office collection for Hindi is Rs 8.3 crore, Tamil stands at Rs 120.85 crore, and Telugu touches Rs 7.85 crore.

Featuring Vijay in dual roles, 'GOAT' also stars Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Ajmal Ameer, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Yogi Babu, Premgi Amaren, and Yugendran. This film marks the twenty-fifth production from AGS Entertainment and is Vijay's penultimate film before his expected foray into politics. The story follows Gandhi, a former leader of a special anti-terrorism squad, who reunites with his old team to address the consequences of their past actions.

In contrast, 'The Crow', directed by Rupert Sanders and released on August 30, had a modest start, collecting just Rs 8 lakh on its first day in India. By the end of the week, its worldwide collection barely surpassed Rs 100 crore, and the film has struggled to maintain its presence in theaters.

'The Crow' is a reboot of the franchise and the fifth film in the series, following the 1994 film that adapted James O'Barr's 1989 comic book series. Written by Zach Baylin and William Schneider, it stars Bill Skarsgård as Eric/The Crow, a man resurrected to avenge the deaths of himself and his girlfriend.
