Actress Aishwarya Lekshmi has revealed during an interview to a YouTube channel that she has made a conscious decision not to marry. She shared this thought on the 'I AM with Dhanya Varma' show while speaking of her upcoming film Hello Mummy.

Reflecting on her experiences and observations, Aishwarya explained that her choice is a result of her personal beliefs and experiences with marriage.

In the interview, Aishwarya shared, "I don't want to get married. I have said it openly everywhere. I don't believe in the institution of marriage. This is a well-thought out decision."

The actress went on to recall how, in her younger years, she had once dreamed of a traditional wedding at the Guruvayur Temple. Growing up, her family frequently visited the temple, and she was influenced by the images of weddings she saw there.

"When I was younger, I thought I wanted to get married there, with a thali and a tulsi garland," she said.

However, as Aishwarya grew older and observed the marriages around her, her perspective began to change. She noted that many marriages she witnessed seemed unhappy, with people in compromising situations and facing personal struggles.

"In my 34 years, I’ve only seen one family that is still happily married. They're not a Malayali family," she said. "Everyone else seems to be facing difficulties, with no personal growth."

Aishwarya added that, with time and maturity, she realised that marriage was not something she desired for herself. "When I gained more wisdom, I understood that this is not what I needed in my life," she said.
