Amid open feud with Dhanush, Nayanthara faces criticism and support

The release of the film’s poster comes at a time when Nayanthara has been making headlines for a different reason. The actress recently issued strong criticism against actor Dhanush regarding a controversy related to the documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale. Dhanush had sent a legal notice demanding a Rs 10 crore compensation for the inclusion of behind-the-scenes footage from the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in the documentary.

In response, Nayanthara shared an open letter on social media, where she claimed that Dhanush’s notice, which cited the unauthorised use of just three seconds of footage, was a result of his personal grudge against her and her husband, director Vignesh Shivan. Following her statement, several celebrities expressed their support for Nayanthara.

A look back at Naanum Rowdy Dhaan

Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, produced by Dhanush and directed by Vignesh Shivan, was the film where Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan first met and eventually fell in love. The film's success played a major role in both their professional and personal lives. The current controversy seems to stem from the inclusion of a brief behind-the-scenes clip from this film in Nayanthara's documentary, which has now led to legal action and public debates.
