The budget of Prabhas’ upcoming film, The Raja Saab, has finally slipped out, and from an unexpected source.
While the makers had consistently avoided disclosing the film’s cost, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has inadvertently revealed that the project carries a staggering budget on par with big-ticket spectacles like RRR and Sikandar. The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on January 9, 2026.

The budget revelation came during a promotional video for the film featuring Prabhas along with Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar. In a light-hearted exchange, Vanga teased Prabhas over his claim of wrapping up the shoot quickly and remarked, “It’s a big set, three heroines, songs are there, daadi (grandmother) is there, and ₹400 crore budget, and he said he’ll finish it in 40 days.”

The comment effectively confirmed that The Raja Saab has been mounted on a budget of approximately ₹400 crore, placing it among the most expensive Indian films currently in production.
