Prabhas rings in 2026 with a bang as Sandeep Reddy Vanga unveils Spirit’s first look at midnight, triggering massive buzz and fan frenzy across social media.

The new year began on a thunderous note for Prabhas fans as the makers of 'Spirit' unveiled the film’s first look precisely at midnight, turning the clock into a countdown for one of 2026’s most anticipated cinematic spectacles.
The pan-India project marks the first-ever collaboration between Prabhas and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and the timing of the reveal ensured maximum impact.
Seen shirtless from behind, Prabhas cuts an imposing figure, his powerfully sculpted frame bearing visible bruises, scars and bandages across his shoulder, arm, and back—subtle yet striking hints of a brutal, violence-scarred past. His long, unkempt hair and thick beard heighten the raw, feral intensity of the character, leaving little doubt about the darkness he carries.
Within minutes of the poster dropping, social media platforms were flooded with reactions. Fans dissected every detail of Prabhas’ intense look, while hashtags related to 'Spirit' began trending across languages. The midnight launch appeared to be a calculated promotional move—and one that worked perfectly in the film’s favour.
True to form, Sandeep Reddy Vanga had primed audiences just hours earlier. On December 31, the filmmaker teased the reveal with a cryptic post that read, “People… A few hours more for 'Spirit' – First Poster.” The short message was enough to spark speculation and build anticipation as fans rang in the New Year, waiting for the reveal.
Interestingly, the strategy mirrors the promotional playbook Vanga used while announcing 'Animal', starring Ranbir Kapoor. That midnight reveal had gone on to dominate online discourse for days, and with 'Spirit', the director seems to have scaled up the same approach—this time powered by Prabhas’ massive Pan-India fanbase.
Even before its first look, 'Spirit' had stayed firmly in the headlines due to a widely discussed casting change. Deepika Padukone, who was initially associated with the project, exited citing work-hour concerns, triggering conversations across the industry. Soon after, Triptii Dimri was officially roped in, adding fresh intrigue to the film.
With Triptii on board, 'Spirit' marks her first on-screen collaboration with Prabhas and her second association with Sandeep Reddy Vanga after 'Animal'.
The film also features Vivek Oberoi and Kanchana in pivotal roles, strengthening its ensemble cast. Backed by T-Series and mounted on a grand scale, 'Spirit' promises to blend Vanga’s trademark intensity with Prabhas’s larger-than-life screen presence.
With its first look now unveiled and buzz at a fever pitch, 'Spirit' is already shaping up to be one of the biggest Pan-India releases to watch out for in 2026.
