Singer Amrutha Suresh says she is joyfully celebrating a peaceful Diwali this year, free from the harassment she has been facing for the past fourteen years. In a video shared on their vlogging channel, Amrutam Gamay - AG, she celebrated the festival with her sister Abhirami Suresh, daughter Avantika, and mother Laila.

Amrutha expressed her happiness in the video, noting how wonderful it feels to enjoy Diwali without the struggles of the past. She mentioned that she is vlogging after nearly a year, and Abhirami playfully remarked that Amrutha has finally "come off air" right into vlogging.

Reflecting on past Diwali celebrations during their father's time, Amrutha shared that they used to burst firecrackers at the time. However, this year, they chose a quieter celebration without crackers.

"Legend has it that when Lord Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita returned after 14 years of exile, the people of the place lit lights to welcome them. This symbolises driving away evil with the light of good. For us, this Diwali is a celebration free from harm, after 14 years of pain, with a focus on happiness and peace," said Amrutha. Amrutha's mother also expressed her gratitude to everyone for understanding their situation.
