Malayalam's beloved digital collective ‘Karikku’ steps into theatres, proof that internet fame and big-screen ambition can have the same script

The wait is finally over for Karikku fans! The much-awaited debut feature film from the popular Malayalam digital collective has officially got a title, and it has already caught the attention of its massive fanbase.
The film has been titled ‘Good Luck Chico’, marking an exciting new chapter for the team that has spent years entertaining audiences through the digital space.
Karikku, which began its journey in 2018, has grown into one of Malayalam’s most popular digital content collectives. From its iconic web series ‘Thera Para’ to its comedy sketches and characters, the team has developed a style that has earned a loyal audience across Kerala and beyond.
Now, the collective is taking that much-loved humour and storytelling to the big screen with its first feature film.

‘Good Luck Chico’ is directed by Karikku founder Nikhil Prasad, who is making his feature-film debut with the project. The movie went on floors earlier this year following a traditional pooja ceremony held in Munnar. Members of the cast and the core team were present at the ceremony, officially marking the beginning of the film’s journey.
The project is jointly produced by Dr Ananthu Entertainments and Karikku Studios. Adding to the excitement is the presence of several familiar faces from the Karikku family.
The film features Anand Mathews, Anu K Aniyan, Arjun Ratan, Binoy John, Jeevan Stephen, Kiran Viyyath, Krishna Chandran, Sabareesh Sajjin and Unni Mathews, along with several other prominent actors from the Malayalam film industry.
While the makers have revealed the title, much of the film’s story remains under wraps. Details about the plot, genre, technical crew and release date are yet to be announced, leaving fans with plenty to speculate about.

The move to cinema marks a significant milestone for Karikku, which has successfully built a strong identity without relying on the traditional film industry route. Its transition from online entertainment to the theatrical space has naturally created huge expectations among viewers who have followed the collective since its early days.
With ‘Good Luck Chico’, the biggest question is, will Karikku’s first movie about to become one of Malayalam cinema’s most-awaited releases?
