A new special poster from Megastar Mammootty’s upcoming film ‘Mela’ has been released along with festive wishes. The Diwali-themed poster offers a fresh glimpse of the film's grand scale and mass appeal.

The new poster features Mammootty seated on a chair at the centre, dressed in black and sporting a striking mass look. Several of his co-stars can be seen around him. Along with the poster, the makers have also released a new background score composed by Vishnu Vijay

The background score accompanying the film's first-look poster had earlier gained popularity on social media.

‘Mela’ marks the ninth production venture of Mammootty Kampany, the production house owned by the actor. It is also said to be the biggest film the banner has produced so far. ‘Mela’ is scheduled to hit theatres in 2027.

The film is being developed as a big-budget entertainer that brings together Mammootty's action, comedy and signature mass moments. Filming began towards the end of July, and the shoot is currently progressing.

Jimshi Khalid is handling the cinematography, while Vishnu Vijay is composing the music. Nithish Sahadev has written the film along with Anuraj OB. The director is bringing together a large ensemble cast for the project, which is being mounted on an expansive scale.

Nithish Sahadev made his directorial debut with the Malayalam hit ‘Falimy’. He later ventured into Tamil cinema with the successful ‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil’. ‘Mela’ marks his return to Malayalam cinema after the Tamil project.

The film is expected to be a much larger production than Mammootty Kampany's earlier ventures, both in terms of budget and scale. 

Mammootty Kampany has received appreciation from audiences and critics for its eight previous productions, making this upcoming project an important addition to its filmography. Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films will distribute the film in Kerala.
