The third day of the Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters at Kannakakunnu Palace began with a good crowd for the solo session by Dr. Ambarish Satwik on the topic ‘The Medical Nude’.
He spoke about how medical nudity is seen as an object of display. Vascular surgeon and writer Dr. Ambarish Satwik, who is settled in New Delhi, dwelled on cadaveric nudity, pornography, medical nudity and clinical nudity.
With illustrations and slides, the doctor went on to explain how medical nude is the opposite of the female body in art. One has to remove the sexuality and look at a female body.
Explaining with slides, the doctor spoke about how men should think nudity is natural and should be seen only this way. The brief session ended with a question and answer session.
