The project aims to introduce a “Caravan as a Rental Service” model

Kochi: Campervan Camps and Trails, a Kerala-based startup, has secured a contract to develop caravan tourism in Tamil Nadu. The project aims to invest ₹105 crore over 3 years to create infrastructure and services for caravan tourism in the state.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Campervan Camps and Trails and Guidance Tamil Nadu, the state government’s investment promotion agency, along with the Directorate of Tourism. The project aims to introduce a “Caravan as a Rental Service” model. It is expected to create 300 entrepreneurs and generate employment for around 3,000 people.
The MoU was signed by founder and director KM Vandan on behalf of Campervan Camps and Trails, Dr Daras Ahmed, MD and CEO of Guidance Tamil Nadu, and Tourism Commissioner J Innocent Divya representing the Tourism Department.
