The online registration window for Delhi Lok Adalat 2026 traffic challans opened on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 10:00 am.

Vehicle owners are advised to apply early, as there is a daily and overall cap on challan registrations.

Steps to apply:

Owners of vehicles who want their outstanding traffic tickets to be settled immediately must apply online via the Delhi Traffic Police website.

Once registered successfully:

  • Tokens and appointment letters will be issued online
  • A maximum of 45,000 challans can be downloaded per day
  • Overall cap stands at 180,000 challans

Traffic challan eligibility:

Only minor traffic offences committed in Delhi are eligible for settlement under Lok Adalat. These include:

  • Jumping red lights
  • Overspeeding
  • Wrong parking
  • Driving without a valid PUC certificate
  • Ignoring traffic signs
  • Missing or defective number plates
  • Incorrectly issued challans

  • Carry original documents, including:
  • Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
  • Driving Licence
  • Insurance papers
  • Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate
  • Appointment letter
  • Challan receipts
