Vithura: For the last two days Vithura-Ponmudi road has been witnessing huge traffic of visitors and thereby a rise in accidents.
Four two wheelers had met with accidents in Vithura-Kallar road on Saturday and Sunday. Increasing number of vehicles, narrow roads and overspeed also result in accidents.
On Sunday, there was a heavy flow of visitors to Ponmudi and the police reached the place to control the traffic. Most of the travellers reached via Nedumangad road.
The speeding bikes and motorcycle are racing in the road where only a car can pass. This poses a threat to other visitors.
On Saturday, a couple got injured when a bike and scooter collided at Anappara. Similar incidents happened at Mullachira, Theviyode and Chittar on Sunday too.
