London: UK-based tech brand Nothing launched its highly anticipated smartphone, Nothing Phone (3), alongside its first over-ear headphones, Nothing Headphone (1), on Tuesday, July 1. The launch took place simultaneously in India and other global markets. 

 

The event, titled ‘Nothing Event: Come to Play’, was held in London. The event commenced with CEO Carl Pei talking about how far they’ve come with the brand Nothing.

Touted as the company’s “first true flagship smartphone,” the Nothing Phone (3) is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. Phone (3) features a triple rear camera setup with a high-resolution main sensor, and the camera module is optimised for low-light photography and ultra-wide shots.

Pre-orders for the Nothing Phone (3) begin on July 4, with official sales starting from July 15, 2025.

Nothing Phone (3) camera

The Nothing Phone (3) comes equipped with a powerful 50MP front-facing selfie camera that supports video recording up to 4K resolution.

On the rear, the device features a triple-camera setup comprising three 50MP sensors. The configuration includes a 50MP periscope camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), a 50MP main camera also with OIS, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The setup is further enhanced by a flashlight and a dedicated video recording light for improved low-light performance.

The wide-angle camera supports 4K video at 30fps and 60fps, and 1080p at 30fps, 60fps, 120fps, and 240fps. The periscope lens offers 4K and 1080p recording at 30fps and 60fps. The ultra-wide-angle lens also supports 4K at 30fps and 60fps, along with 1080p at 30fps and 60fps.

The front camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps and 60fps, and 1080p at 30fps and 60fps.

Nothing Phone (3) specifications

The device features a 16.94 cm (6.67 inch) flexible AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, delivering a pixel density of 460 ppi. It offers peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits and supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The screen is HDR10+ certified. The phone carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Running on Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15, the smartphone promises 5 years of operating system updates and 7 years of software support. The Phone (3) is powered by a 5,500mAh lithium-ion battery. Phone (3) supports wired charging up to 65W, wireless charging up to 15W, reverse wired charging up to 7.5W, and reverse wireless charging up to 5W.

The device includes an e-compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, flicker sensor, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Nothing Phone (3) storage, price and dimensions

Nothing Phone (3) is available in two storage variants. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at ₹79,999, while the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model is available for ₹89,999. The device measures 75.59 mm in width, 160.6 mm in height and 8.99 mm in thickness, with a weight of 218 grams.

Nothing Phone (3) Glyph Matrix

The Glyph Matrix on the rear has been enhanced with 489 LEDs and introduces a new Glyph Button. This addition enables users to access app shortcuts, receive visual notifications, and interact with playful features called “Glyph Toys,” including games like Rock-Paper-Scissors and Magic 8 Ball. Developers can now create their own custom features using the Glyph SDK, which is available on the Nothing Community platform.

A key software highlight is Essential Space, which works alongside the Essential Key. With a single press, users can quickly record thoughts, take screenshots, or begin voice-to-text note-taking. The Flip to Record function offers transcription, summarisation, and speaker recognition, with all data securely stored and processed on the device by default—unless the user chooses otherwise.

The Nothing Headphone (1) features 40mm dynamic drivers and AI-Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation that adjusts based on surrounding noise for improved listening.

It supports Bluetooth 5.3, dual device pairing, Fast Pair, and low-latency performance. Spatial audio with head tracking adds a more directional audio experience.

The headphones have an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance. They include intuitive tactile controls and are built using lightweight formed aluminium.

For calls, the headphones use AI-based voice enhancement and four HD microphones to improve clarity in noisy environments.

Nothing Headphone (1) is priced at ₹21,999.

Buyers can purchase the Nothing Headphone (1) at a special introductory price of ₹19,999 on the launch day, July 15, 2025. The company also announced 12-month no-cost EMI options through select banks, available at offline retail partners including Croma and Vijay Sales.
