Palakkad: The Kerala Krishi Hub (KKH), an AI-based platform, is set to provide farmers with comprehensive information ranging from agricultural production to market services. The system delivers technical updates directly from Central and State Agriculture Department websites, as well as Agritech companies, to farmers online.

Agriculture Department officials said the service will be fully operational by January 2026. Farmers who register through Krishi Bhavan will receive updates on their mobile phones. Initial preparations, including the selection of participating farmers, will be conducted at Krishi Bhavans.

The AI system will provide guidance on optimal sowing times, weather updates, seed and fertiliser availability, irrigation, timely agricultural tasks, access to farming equipment, disease treatment, harvesting, benefit distribution, market trends, pricing, value addition, and export opportunities.

Officials added that NABCON, a subsidiary of NABARD, is supplying the technical support for the hub. The Farmers Database (FDB) has been developed in collaboration with the India Digital Ecosystem for Agriculture (IDEA) platform, while the Kerala Agro Business Corporation (CABCO) will manage the database.

The project is fully funded by the Agriculture Department, which has confirmed that the service will be offered to farmers free of charge.
