Tamil Nadu board releases 2026 SSLC and Plus Two timetables; exams to begin in March

The Directorate of General Education, Tamil Nadu (TNDGE), has officially released the timetable for the 2026 public examinations for SSLC (Class 10) and Plus Two (Class 12) students. As per the announcement, Class 10 board exams are scheduled from March 11 to April 6, while Class 12 exams will be conducted between March 2 and March 26, 2026. The complete date sheet has been shared through an official notification and can be accessed on the board’s website—dge.tn.gov.in.
The public examinations will be organised at designated centres across Tamil Nadu under the supervision of the Directorate of Government Examinations. Students appearing for either Class 10 or 12 are advised to go through the subject-wise schedule carefully and prepare accordingly.

- March 11 (Wednesday): Tamil/Other language
- March 16 (Monday): English
- March 25 (Wednesday): Mathematics
- March 30 (Monday): Science
- April 2 (Thursday): Social Science
- April 6 (Monday): Optional language
Tamil Nadu Plus Two (Class 12) exam schedule 2026
- March 2 (Monday): Tamil/Other language
- March 5 (Thursday): English
- March 9 (Monday): Chemistry/Accountancy/Geography
- March 13 (Friday): Physics/Economics/Employability Skills
- March 17 (Tuesday): Mathematics/Zoology/Commerce/Biology/History and other vocational subjects
- March 23 (Monday): Business Mathematics/Computer Science/Computer Applications and other technical subjects
- March 26 (Thursday): Bio-Chemistry/Home Science/Political Science/Statistics and related papers
For both Class 10 and 12 examinations, the timing will remain consistent—from 10 am to 1:15 pm. Students will have 10 minutes (10 am to 10.10 am) to read the question paper, followed by five minutes for verification. The writing session will begin at 10:15 am and end at 1:15 pm.
