Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi – 110067, an Autonomous Body of University Grants Commission, has invited applications for admission to its Ph.D. programme in accelerator based experimental research in areas of Materials Science, Nuclear Physics and Accelerator Physics.

Total Junior Research Fellow (JRF) seats for 2025-26 are 8 [UR-3, OBC-2, SC-1, ST-1, EWS-1]

Eligibility: Applicant must have a Master’s Degree (Five years’ degree after + 2 level) in Physics / Applied Physics with minimum of 55% aggregate marks/equivalent grade awarded in 2023 or later. Applicants must have studied Physics and Mathematics in their Bachelor’s Degree Program. Applicants must have qualified CSIR-UGC NET-JRF [December 2023 onwards] in Physical Sciences or other equivalent National-level tests.

Normal relaxation to the eligibility criteria will be applicable as per UGC guidelines.

Selection: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Date and time of interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates.

Selected students will be required to join the Ph.D. programme within one week of announcement of result. They will be registered for Ph.D. with Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.

All students will be required to undergo course work for two semesters as per UGC norms, upon joining.

The selected students will be provided with hostel accommodation.
