Council of Architecture (CoA) has invited Applications for the computer-based online National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) for admission to the five-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree course for 2022-23.
Eligibility: Applicant should have passed the 10+2 scheme of examination with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Those appearing for the qualifying examination in 2022-23, may also provisionally appear for NATA-2022.
NATA structure: NATA- 2022 will be of 3 hours’ duration and will comprise 125 questions that could be of Multiple-Choice type (MCQ), Multiple Select type (MSQ), Preferential Choice type (PCQ), Numerical Answer type (NAQ) and Match the following type and carrying 1 mark, 2 marks or 3 marks. The medium of test will be English. Some questions may be in regional languages also. Aptitude will be assessed using Diagrammatic/Numerical/Verbal/Inductive/Logical/Abstract Reasoning, Situational Judgment etc. Details of the test is available in the NATA Brochure. To Qualify in NATA 2022, one should score 70 marks out of 200.
NATA 2022 will be held thrice for 2022-23 admissions. The First NATA test is scheduled to be held on June 12, 2022, second on July 3, 2022 and the Third Test on July 24, 2022. Appearing in second or third test is not mandatory and is purely at the discretion of the applicants. Candidates can register themselves for either of the Tests or more than one test by filling in the application form appropriately.
Examination shall be conducted in two sessions on the date of the Test, subject to number of candidates registered for the session. Candidates need to indicate their preference for session & city of examination while registering at NATA portal www.nata.in. Session 1 will be from 10 a.m. to 1 pm and Session 2 from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
In case a candidate appears for 2 Tests, better of the 2 scores shall be taken as the valid score and in the case of 3 attempts, valid score shall be taken as the average of the 2 best scores. NATA- 2022 score shall be valid only for admission in the academic session 2022- 23.
Application: Application is to be filled online at www.nata.in latest by 11.59 pm on 23rd May 2022 for first exam, till 11.59 pm on 20th June, 2022 for the second examination and till 11.59 pm on 11th July, 2022 for the third test. One can register either for one test or for more than one test now.
Application fee for any one test is Rs. 2,000/- (Rs 1500/- for Females/SC/ST/PWD/Transgender categories) payable online. Application fee to apply for any 2 tests, is Rs.4000/-/Rs. 3,000/- and for all 3 tests, is Rs. 5400/-/Rs.4050/-. For those opting for test centres abroad, application fee is Rs. 10,000/- for any one test, Rs. 20,000/- for any two tests and Rs.27000/- for 3 tests.
