The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA), Statutory body of Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, 5th Floor, TICEL Park, Taramani, Chennai-600113, has invited applications for the Biodiversity Samrakshan Internship Programme (BSIP) 2024.

Those engaged are expected to assist (i) in the operationalisation and functioning of Biodiversity Management Committees (BMCs) in the States and Union Territories (ii) BMCs in the preparation of People’s Biodiversity Registers (PBRs) (iii) in the implementation of Biological Diversity Act, 2002. 

Interns will be placed in NBA Chennai, MoEFCC and the State Biodiversity Boards/UT Biodiversity Councils across the country.

Duration of the Internship will be 1 year, starting January 09, 2024 continuing up to December 31, 2024.

Eligibility: Applicant should hold a Postgraduate degree or Bachelor degree in any discipline (3 Years / 4 Years including Engineering) and should have interest in Natural Resource Management. Applicants must be between 21 to 30 years of age as on 11.12.2023. 

No. of Internships will be 25. Interns will receive a stipend of Rs. 22,500/month
