Sreenarayanaguru Open University (SGOU), Kollam, the state university established by the government of Kerala and recognized by UGC-DEB, has invited applications for admission to various UGC -DEB recognized Four Year UG (FYUGP)/Three Year UG/ Two Year PG/Certificate Programmes under Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode for the July-August session of the academic year 2025-26.

Program and eligibility for admission are as follows

Four Year UG Programmes (FYUGP) (8 Semesters) with exit option on successful completion of 3 years: (i) B.A. English (ii) B.A Malayalam (iii) B.A History (iv) B.A Sociology (v) B.B.A (vi) B.Com:

Three Year UG Programmes (6 Semesters): (i) B.A Afzal-UI-Ulama (ii) B.A Arabic (iii) B.A Hindi (iv) B.A Sanskrit (v) B.A Economics (vi) B.A Nano Entrepreneurship (vii) B.A Philosophy (viii) B.A Political Science (ix) B.A Psychology (x) B.C.A (xi) B.Sc Data Science and Analytics:

For all the 4-year and 3-year programs, applicants should have a pass in the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by a board/university at the Plus Two level of schooling (formal schooling/open system/equivalent) and recognised by the Govt. of Kerala.

Two-Year PG Programs (4 Semesters): (i) MA Arabic (ii) MA English (iii) MA Hindi (iv) MA Malayalam (v) MA Sanskrit (vi) M.A. Economics (vii) M.A History (viii) M.A Philosophy (ix) MA Political Science (x) M.A Public Administration (xi) MA Sociology (xii) M.Com:

Eligibility: Any valid Degree from a recognised university/institution

Admission to MCA and MBA programs will be notified separately through the admission portal and website.

Application: The application can be submitted online at www.sgou.ac.in latest by 10th September, 2025 (Wednesday). Fees can also be remitted online through this website.

Certificate Programs (Duration: 6 months):

(i) Certified Cyber Security Analyst (Collaboration with ICI Academy): A Pass in degree or diploma with a background in computer science

(ii) Applied Machine Learning (Collaboration with TKM College of Engineering): A pass in 10+2 or equivalent. Desirable qualification is B.Sc., B.A., B.Com.

(iii) Communication Skills and Foundation Course for IELTS and OET (Collaboration with Cambridge University Press): A pass in 10+2 or equivalent

Online registration of Certificate Programs can be done at https://stp.sgou.ac.in latest by 10th September, 2025 (Wednesday).

Admissions will be subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria as per the regulations. Learners can pursue UG/PG programs of this university along with other regular programs of other universities/institutions under the UGC-approved dual degree system.
