All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), under the Faculty of Ayurveda& Unani, University of Delhi, has invited applications for admission to its Ph.D. Programme in Ayurveda, 2022-23.

Ph.D. is offered under Faculty of Ayurveda & Unani of the following disciplines/Departments: (i) Ayurved Samhita &Siddhanta (ii) Dravyaguna Vigyan (iii) Kaumarabhritya-Bala Roga (iv) Kayachikitsa (v) Kriya Sharira (vi) Panchakarma (vii) Prasooti Tantra - Stree Roga (viii) Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajyakalpana (ix) Roga Nidana (x) Shalakya Tantra (xi) Shalya Tantra and (xii) Swasthavritta.

Admission to the Programme is through entrance examination, followed by an interview.

Eligibility: Applicant should hold MD/MS in Ayurveda or Master Degree in any of allied/interdisciplinary subjects such as all disciplines under AYUSH, Diet & Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Sciences / M. Pharma (Ayurveda), Pharmacology Sciences/ MD or MS in Allopathic Medicine, Medicinal Plant Sciences, Medicinal Chemistry, Food Science & Technology, etc. Applicant should have at least 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST/OBC/DA) or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the qualifying examination.  Percentage of marks will not be applicable in case of the candidates who have passed MD/MS Courses of Delhi University where marks are not awarded. The UGC-NET/JRF/SLET/AYUSH-NET/CSIR-NET qualified candidates shall be exempted from appearing in entrance examination. However, they will have to appear in the interview.

Scheme of Entrance Examination: The Entrance Examination will have two parts. Part-I will have 40 MCQs each carrying one mark from Research Methodology & General Knowledge of Ayurveda. Part-II will be subject specific with 30 MCQs carrying 30 marks. The MCQ will be from the subject concerned under which the candidate has applied for Ph.D. Programme. There shall be negative marking of 0.25 for both parts.

Those scoring 50% marks in aggregate in Part-I & Part-II of the entrance examination are eligible for appearing in the interview. Interview will carry 30 marks.
