The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), an Autonomous Body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, (AICTE) has notified the admissions to Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), 2024-25 through Distance Learning mode, recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education and approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

The PGDM courses offered are in (i) Hospital Management (300 Seats) (ii) Health & Family Welfare Management (100) (iii) Health Promotion (150) (iv) Public Health Nutrition (150) (v) Health Communication (150) and (vi) Applied Epidemiology (150).

The total duration of the course is 15 months. The course comprises of theory and practical components. The course is imparted by means of supplying printed study materials for self-study, two contact programs, submission of assignments and dissertation report. Course fee is Rs.35000/-

Eligibility for admission to each Programme is as follows:

Hospital Management: MBBS/MS/MD/BDS/ MDS, AYUSH Doctors and B.Sc. Nursing; Must be registered with respective medical council; Experience of 2 years after internship for MBBS & Other medical graduates and 4 years’ experiences after internship for B.Sc. Nursing is essential.

Health and Family Welfare Management: MBBS/MS/MD/BDS/ MDS, AYUSH Doctors and B.Sc. Nursing. Must be registered with the respective National council. Experience of 2 years after internship for MBBS & Other medical graduates and B.Sc. Nursing is essential.

Health Promotion: MBBS/MS/MD/BDS/ MDS, AYUSH Doctors and B.Sc. Nursing; Must be registered with respective medical council; Experience of 2 years after internship for MBBS, other medical graduates and B.Sc. Nursing is essential.

Public Health Nutrition: All Medical Graduates, Paramedical staff like B.Pharma and Graduate in Science/Social Sciences; Must be registered with respective national council (wherever applicable); Experience of 2 years after internship for MBBS, other medical graduates and other Graduates

Health Communication: All Medical Graduates, B.Sc. Nursing, General Nursing Midwifery and Graduate in Science/ Social Science; must be registered with respective National council (Wherever applicable); Experience of 2 years after internship for MBBS, other medical graduates and other Graduates

Applied Epidemiology: All Medical Graduates, Graduate in Science/Social Sciences, Master in Public Health, Graduation in Epidemiology and Statistics; Must be registered with respective national council (wherever applicable); Experience of 2 years after internship for MBBS, other medical graduates and other Graduates

The filled application has to reach ‘Distance Learning Cell (DLC), (Room No. 417), The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Munirka, New Delhi- 110067’ latest by 14th August, 2024 without late fee and latest by 31st August, 2024 with late fee of Rs.500/- in the form of demand draft/NEFT.
