The National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA) in Panchkula, under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, has announced applications for its one-year, full-time, self-financed Panchakarma Technician Certificate Course. The course will be conducted at the institute, located at Sec-5, Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board Complex, Panchkula, Haryana.

Panchakarma denotes the five purification therapies namely Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya and Raktamokshana, each aimed at eliminating deep-rooted toxins (Ama) from the body and mind. Panchakarma plays a dual role in curative and preventive healthcare. It directly targets the root cause of diseases, not just the symptoms thus helpful in the complete cure of the disease. In healthy persons, regular detoxification through Panchakarma prevents the accumulation of toxins and maintains doshic balance, promoting long-term wellness, longevity, and mental clarity along with prevention of diseases.

The course aims at building up Technicians who have accurate knowledge of Panchkarma and who adheres to standard operative procedures (SOPs) so that improper execution that may lead to adverse effects or failure of therapy is prevented. The training will focus on the knowledge of indications and contraindications, awareness of standardized protocols of the therapies, usage of authentic medicines, hygienic practices, development of skill, and patient safety. After completing the course, Panchkarma technician can find job placements in Ayurdedic Hospital, Heath resorts, wellness centers, Rehabilitation centers etc.

Eligibility: Applicant should have passed 12th standard of any stream from a school from anywhere in India, recognized by state board / CBSE/ICSE or any other recognized board by Govt. of India

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and up to 40 years (Relaxable to SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per government of India rules.)

Applicant must be physically fit along with good physical and mental endurance.

Selection will be on merit of the Marks obtained in 12th Standard. Reservation will be as per rules of Government of India.

There are 30 seats for the Program. Medium of Instruction will be English and Hindi. Course fee is Rs. 36000/-.

Application Fee is Rs.500/- to be paid online as per the instructions in the Prospectus.

Application format should be neatly typed on A4 size paper on one side and should be filled and signed by the applicant at the specified space with date. The Institute will not consider any another format or application proforma.
