The allotment process to the B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) Programme offered by the National Council for Hotel Management (NCHM) and recognized by JNU at its affiliated Institutes will be based on the counselling process to be held online at www.nchmcounselling.nic.in. Result of NCHM Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2024 for admission to B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) Programme has been announced at www.nchmjee.nta.nic.in
There shall be four rounds of online Counselling on the basis of NCHM JEE merit (All India Rank) for eligible candidates only. The detailed process of Counselling shall be available at www.nchmcounselling.nic.in.
Eligible candidate from the merit list of NCHM JEE, who want to participate in the Counselling process, have to register and pay one time, non-refundable registration fees for Rs 2,000/- through www.nchmcounselling.nic.in
For the First Round, registered candidates will opt for choices of institutes as per schedule to be notified. Candidates may select one or more of their choice institutes. Candidates must select only those Institutes in the choices, in which the candidate is willing to join. The seat will be allotted based on their NCHM JEE All India Rank, Reservation Category and choice / preference of choice of Institute opted by the candidate through the online system.
Those allotted the seat in first round, may confirm the seat on payment of Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) of Rs.20,000/- and upload the required documents for online Document Verification by Document Verification Centre (DVC). The SAF of Rs.20,000/- will be adjusted in the first semester fee. If a candidate does not deposit the SAF, the allotted seat will automatically be cancelled and the candidate will be eligible to participate in the next rounds against the available vacant seats.
Those who are allotted seats in the first round, accepted the seat, but are interested to upgrade their choice of Institute in subsequent rounds should opt for ‘floating’ option and not opt for ‘freeze’. Such candidates with floating options may even revise their choice of Institutes in the subsequent round. In case allotment in first round is made in an Institute other than 1st choice and opted for ‘floating’ for next round, but has not revised the choices, allotment in subsequent rounds will be considered within the earlier choices and availability of seat. In case of upgradation, the candidate need not either deposit SAF or go for further verification of documents. But the fresh allotment letter should be downloaded for record. Once the allotment is upgraded, the claim of earlier seats will be lost. Those who do not complete the document verification process after deposing SAF, will lose the allotted seat. They will be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds and the fees deposited will be adjusted, if participated, otherwise will be refunded.
If any candidate allotted, accepted and confirmed seat in the first round but withdrew the seat during the stipulated date through online portal during the first-round counselling, the seat as well as the registration for the counselling will be cancelled. Such candidates will not be allowed in subsequent rounds except the Fourth (Final) round. However, the SAF of Rs.20,000/-, if deposited, will be adjusted in subsequent rounds. If a seat is not allotted in this round, the candidate may participate in the subsequent rounds and the registration fees will be carried forward. If the candidate does not lock/freeze the seat, it may be treated as floating to the further rounds to upgrade. If a seat is not allotted in the first round, candidates may participate in subsequent rounds. Registration fees will be carried forward.
Candidates, who have not registered and not participated in earlier rounds of Counselling, can register by depositing the registration fee of Rs.2000/- through the portal and participate in the second / third round of counselling. Seat allotment in subsequent rounds will be in the similar condition as mentioned for the first round. Candidates allotted seats in first, second and third rounds, who want to withdraw/ surrender the allotted seat can do so only through online mode in the Counselling portal only before starting of Registration in the Final Round.
