The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited applications for the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE-2026) for admission to the B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) Course for the Academic Year 2026-27 at the Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM) affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM&CT).

The B.Sc. (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) Programme at its affiliated institutes is recognized by JNU.

The three-year (six-semester) course equips students with all the required skills, knowledge, and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the hospitality sector. As per NEP 2020, there may be an option of a 4th year for the students to get an honor’s degree.

The program involves in-depth laboratory work for students to acquire required knowledge and skill standards in the operational areas of food production, food & beverage service, and rooms division. It also provides managerial inputs in Hospitality marketing, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Revenue Management, Facility Planning Management, etc.

A list of affiliated institutes of hotel management is given as Annexure I to the Information Bulletin at https://exams.nta.nic.in/nchm-jee/. It includes 80 institutes, of which 22 are Central IHMs, 1 is Central PSU IHM, 32 are State IHMs, and 25 are Private IHMs.

Eligibility

Applicant should have passed the 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects from a recognized educational board and must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination. Those appearing in the 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in NCHM JEE 2026 on a provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counselling or at the time of admission or at the latest by 30 September, 2026. A list of examinations equivalent to 10+2 is given in the Information Bulletin.

Age Limit

There is no age restriction for appearing in NCHM JEE.

Physical Fitness

All qualified candidates at the time of admission will have to submit a physical fitness certificate of carrying out practical classes as required in the course, in the prescribed format, from a registered medical practitioner.

Pattern of Exam

The NCHM JEE-2026 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode from 11 am to 1 pm on 25.04.2026 (Saturday) at 120 cities across the country. It is mandatory for candidates to select four cities of their choice while filling out the Online Application Form for NCHM JEE 2026.

The examination will have 120 objective-type multiple-choice questions from (i) Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude (15 questions), (ii) Reasoning and Logical Deduction (15), (iii) General Knowledge & Current Affairs (15), (iv) English Language (45), and (v) Aptitude for Service Sector (30). Each question carries 04 marks. For each incorrect response, one mark will be deducted from the total score. The medium of the question paper shall be in English & Hindi only. The option of the medium of the question paper should be carefully chosen by the candidate while filling out the application form online. The option, once exercised, cannot be changed.

Application

Applications can be submitted online at https://exams.nta.nic.in/nchm-jee/ latest by 5 pm on 25.01.2026.

The application fee for General (UR) / OBC-(NCL) applicants is Rs.1000/-. It is Rs. 700/- for Gen-EWS and Rs. 450/- for SC / ST / PwD / Third Gender. The application fee can be paid using a credit card/debit card (except Master/Visa Card)/Net-Banking/UPI/Wallet latest by 11.50 pm on 25.01.2026.

Corrections in the particulars of the application form can be done online only during the notified period, to be announced later through the website.

The exam centre will be as indicated on the admit card. Announcements/dates related to the display of recorded responses and provisional answer keys on the website for inviting challenge(s) from interested candidates, declaration of results, etc., will be announced later through the website.

After the declaration of the result, the NCHM JEE-2026 score will be provided by NTA to NCHMCT to conduct the Counselling for the admission to the B.Sc. (HHA) course.
