National Law University Odisha, Cuttack; Kathajodi Campus, Sector 13, CDA, Cuttack, Odisha -753015, has invited applications for admission for Three Year LL.B. Degree Program and Full Time and Part Time Ph.D. Degree Program in Law and Interdisciplinary with Law for the Academic Year 2025-26

Eligibility for Three Year LL.B.: Those with a Graduate degree in any discipline may apply for the course. Those who are appearing for the final year graduation exams or awaiting results may also apply in anticipation. At the time of admission, the candidate needs to provide a provisional pass certificate or the final pass certificate along with conduct certificate and migration certificate.

Application fee is Rs. 3,300/- (Rs. 2,800/- for SC/ST category and Rs. 5,000/- for NR/PIO/OCl/FN)  

PhD: Admissions are open for full-time and Part-time Ph.D. in (i) Law and (ii) Interdisciplinary with Law. 

Eligibility: Ph.D. in Law- Master’s Degree in Law from any recognized University with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST and Specially-Abled-Persons (SAP))/equivalent grade. 

Ph.D. (Interdisciplinary) with Law: (i) Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in Social Science or Humanities or Management Studies from any recognized University or (ii) Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Humanities or management Studies, from any recognized Indian University and having had at least two years of work experience or Ph.D. in any discipline. 

Applicants should have minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST and Specially-Abled-Persons (SAP))/ equivalent grade in the qualifying examination. Those in their final year of study in the qualifying examination can apply, subject to the candidate securing the minimum marks or equivalent grade prior to the date of admission of the Ph.D when they have to submit their mark sheet.

Selection: Selection to all programs will be based on Entrance Examinations to be held on 11.5.2025 at Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Bhopal, Cuttack, Lucknow, and Guwahati. Details of the structure of the Examinations are given in the Brochure at the website. For Ph.D Program, those having NET /JRF are exempted from the Entrance Examination.

Application fee for Ph.D is Rs 6,000/- (Rs. 5,000/- for SC/ST candidates) to be paid online by 31st March, 2025. For NET/JRF Candidates, it is Rs. 2,800/- (Rs. 2,300/- for SC/ST candidates).

Copy of the duly filled Ph.D Application form downloaded from the admission portal along with the enclosures listed is to be sent via registered post/courier or delivered by hand to ‘Registrar, NLUO, Kathajodi Campus, Sector 13 CDA, Cuttack, Odisha -753015’ to reach by 15th April 2025.

Candidates for Ph.D are required to submit a research proposal along with the entrance Test Form unless exempted from the Entrance Test. The Admission to Ph.D. will be done on the basis of presentation of Research Proposal by the short listed candidates. 

The University offers Rs. 30,000/- per month stipend for full-time Ph.D. Scholars.
