National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru has invited applications for admission to the two-year Master’s Programme in Public Policy with a focus on law as an interface between inclusive sustainable development and public policy.
Eligibility: Applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized national or international University with not less than 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC or ST or OBC-NCL or PWD category applicants). Those in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply. However, proof of completion of the qualifying degree has to be submitted no later than December 31, 2024.
Admissions Process: Admission will be on the basis of an all-India National Law School Admission Test for Masters in Public Policy (NLSAT-MPP) to be held from 10 am to 12.30 pm on March 17, 2024 (Sunday), at centres across the country. NLSAT-MPP will have a single question paper having two parts - A and B both of which are compulsory.
Part A will carry maximum of 75 marks and will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions, each of one mark from (i) Comprehension (ii) Current Affairs and (iii) Critical reasoning. For each wrong answer and for each unanswered question, 0.25 marks shall be deducted. Part B will consist of questions related to policy and quantitative skills which shall be for a maximum of 75 marks. Themes for questions about policy will be rooted in the social sciences.
A rank list of candidates who have secured more than zero marks in Part A of the paper will be prepared. Part B of the NLSAT-MPP paper will be evaluated only for those short listed based on performance in Part A. A fresh and final rank list shall be prepared based on the cumulative performance in Parts A and B of the NLSAT-MPP. Offers of admission shall be made according to this final rank list subject to the candidate satisfying the conditions (i) candidate should have secured more than zero marks in both Parts A and B of the NLSAT-MPP (ii) candidate must secure a score above the 75th percentile of the eligible candidates in the aggregate score of Parts A and B (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD category candidates must secure a score above the 40th percentile of the eligible candidates of the aggregate score).

Application fees is Rs. 2500/- (Rs. 2000/- for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD/EWS categories)
The final admissions list will be published in May 2024.
The Academic Year will commence on July 1, 2024.
