Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has commenced the activities related to the Vacant Seat allotment to fill up the vacant seats that exist/arise after the second phase of centralized allotment for admission to Integrated Five Year LL.B. Course in the Government Law Colleges and Private Self- financing Law Colleges for the year 2024-25 at www.cee.kerala.gov.in.
Those who have figured in the rank list of Integrated Five-Year LL.B. Course 2024 published by the CEE and satisfy the eligibility criteria as per clause 9 in the Prospectus can register fresh options up to 3 pm on 11.11.2024 and participate in this phase of allotment. Candidates can also register options to BA LL.B (Hons.) in newly added Illahia Law college, Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam. Allotment and Institution Joining Schedule will be notified later.
Registration Fees: Those who wish to register options in vacant seat allotment must pay separate registration fees of Rs.1000/- to the CEE. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OEC/Other categories specified in the Notification will have to remit Rs.500/- as Registration Fee. Registration fees can be remitted by way of online payment. The registration fee of those candidates who do not get allotment will be refunded. If a candidate gets allotment and does not join within the stipulated time, the option registration fee will be considered as penalty and will not be refunded. Option registration fee of the candidates who quit the seats after taking admission will be considered as penalty and will not be refunded. Refund of option registration fee for the eligible candidates will be made only after the completion of allotment process and it will be notified.
Those who get allotment in this phase must join the allotted college with all the original certificates as given in the prospectus clause 19 within the stipulated time to be announced by the CEE and should remit applicable tuition fee, other fees, and the deposits (if applicable) in the allotted colleges at the time of admission.
Those allotted a seat in this round will lose the existing admission, if any and the candidate must accept the new allotment. Hence candidates should register options to only those colleges where they want to study for the course if they get an allotment. If no seat is allotted, the existing admission, if any, shall prevail.
Probable vacancies that arise due to up-gradations to higher options as well as category conversions will also be filled up in this round based on the options for the vacant seat allotment. Hence candidates may consider probable vacancies also in addition to the existing vacancies available at the start of the vacant seat allotment process.
The seats received through vacant seat allotment cannot be changed further at any instance.
Those allotted a seat in this round, irrespective of the admission status, will not be eligible for any subsequent allotments.
After the Vacant Seat Allotment, if vacancies exist/arise, these vacancies shall be filled through Stray Vacancy Filling Allotment. For Stray Vacancy Filling round, options registered by candidates during the Vacant Seat Allotment will be considered. Notification regarding the same will be issued later.
The various lists of candidates for the college level stray vacancy filling after the vacant seat allotment will be prepared based on the options registered for the vacant seat allotment process. But the options registered in vacant seat filling by already admitted candidates will not be considered for stray vacancy filling rounds. So, candidates who intend to participate in the institution level stray vacancy filling should participate in the vacant seat allotment also by registering fresh options for the vacant seat allotment.
Allotment shall be subject to the final order/affiliation/approval of the Govt./Bar Council of India/University concerned.
Candidates admitted to the course through previous phases of allotment by the CEE can avail free exit from the course by 1 pm on 11.11.2024. Candidates are liable for penalty if they vacate seats or obtain T.C after 1 pm on 11.11.2024.
